It was my great honor to meet His Holiness @Pontifex. I am a huge fan - a true leader for the Church & a steward for all of God’s creatures.

For the first time since I became a citizen in 1983, I will not vote for the Republican candidate for President. Like many Americans, I've been conflicted by this election - I still haven't made up my mind about how exactly I will vote next month. I have been a proud Republican sinec I moved to America in 1968 and I heard Nixon's words about getting the government off our backs, free trade, and defending our liberty with a strong military. That day I joined the party of Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, and Ronald Reagan. But as proud as I am to label myself a Republican, there is one label that I hold above all else - American. So I want to take a moment today to remind my fellow Republicans that it is not only acceptable to choose your country over your party - it is your duty.
In an interview call with the syndicated Sean Hannity radio show, Arnold Schwarzenegger described himself to Hannity as “pro-choice” but said he did not support late-stage procedures described as “partial-birth” abortions.

When it comes to the death penalty, yes, I believe in the death penalty and we have the death penalty for years here in California.
In a CNN interview
I like the law that we have in place. And I don’t believe in legalizing marijuana, but I’m always open for the debate because there are people that feel differently. And I said I’m always interested in debating any of these issues because there’s always different ways of looking at it. And I think it would be interesting to see the information that is available, if there’s any information available, of well countries are doing that have legalized marijuana. But I don’t think that information is available, and I’d want us to see that. But I believe in the law, the way the law is right now, and I think it’s worked very well for the state of California. And I think it would be a mistake to just go and legalize something that we don’t believe in just because it would produce an extra billion dollars in revenues. And I think we just have to learn how to live within our means rather than trying to do things we really don’t want to do.

I think nuclear power has a great future, and we should look at it again.

At the Republican National Convention
Listening to Nixon speak sounded more like a breath of fresh air. I said to my friend, I said, “What party is he?” My friend said, “He’s a Republican.” I said, “Then I am a Republican.” And I have been a Republican ever since! And trust me – And trust me in my wife’s family, that’s no small achievement. But I am proud to be with the Party of Abraham Lincoln, the Party of Teddy Roosevelt, the Party of Ronald Reagan and the Party of George W. Bush!
