Not Religious

17 Jul 2020

My family never was religious. I didn’t know anyone that was religious. And for some reason as a little girl, I just was incredibly religious. That went on for years. […] At one point, I don’t know what happened. It just completely went away. […] I’ve loved the idea of other beliefs. I think people with closed minds, you know like people like me from a couple years ago, I think that’s very pathetic to have a closed mind, and it’s very lame. I love hearing people’s beliefs. I love talking about what people believe in and hearing why they believe in it and what makes them believe in it, especially if I don’t agree. […] I love the idea that there’s a God, so why not? How would I know? How am I going to say I know? I don’t. Nobody knows.

Criticizes Trump

I was very proud of myself. Tons of my friends texted me and they were like, I’m so proud of you! Trump is afraid of you! I was like, Damn right.

Supports Biden

This is unbelievable, I am so happy. I am through the roof. I wanted to say thank you to everybody that changed their mind, or got out there and fucking voted, even if you voted for the first time, whatever. Don’t let anybody tell you your voice does not matter. […] It was so close, and it’s because of you guys fucking pushing through that we won this shit! Thank you for caring about the climate, about women’s rights, about social justice, about fucking surviving right now.

Billie Eilish said, on her Instagram, celebrating Joe Biden's election

I’d probably say that I understand the initial feeling of that. […] I just think that that makes sense for one second and then just think about it a little harder and you can see that that’s not how it works. And that you really do matter […] and it’s really important cause your voice matters. […] Got to vote, got to speak up, got to listen.

Billie Eilish said, in a conversation with Kamala Harris

You don't need me to tell you things are a mess. Donald Trump is destroying our country and everything we care about. We need leaders who will solve problems like climate change and COVID, not deny them. Leaders who'll fight against racism and inequality. And that starts by voting for someone who understands how much is at stake, someone who is building a team that shares our values. It starts with voting against Donald Trump and for Joe Biden. Silence is not an option and we can't sit this one out. We all have to vote like our lives and the world depend on it, because they do. The only way to be certain of the future is to make it ourselves. Please register, please vote.

Billie Eilish said, in a video on a tweet

I’m pretty worried about [2020]. I think stupid Trump is probably going to get reelected, and that makes my heart break. You know, some people just love horrible people. It’s weird.

When they made that s— a law, I almost didn’t want to do the show because I wanted to punish this f—ing place for allowing that to happen here. But then I remembered that it’s you guys that are the f—ing victims, and you deserve everything in the world. And we need to tell them to shut the f— up.

ATLANTA. one of my favorite places in the world, to be in, and play shows!! but i do not love the state’s lawmaker’s decision to take away women’s rights. I still cannot believe we are even having this conversation in 2019. I’m donating a portion of my guarantee tomorrow to @plannedparenthood. we need this organization more than ever. swipe up to learn more and sign the petition, and if you have any spare change, donate. you can seriously help someone. see you tomorrow atl.

You can be poor, you can be struggling. And still your skin color is giving you more privilege than you even realize and nobody is saying that makes you better than anyone. It just lets you live your life without having to worry about surviving simply because of your skin color!!! You are privileged!! If all lives matter why are black people killed for just being black? Does white privilege affect Hispanic people? Native Americans? Asian people? Yes for f**king sure it does. But right now right in this moment... we have to address hundreds of years of oppression of black people. The slogan of #BlackLivesMatter does not mean other lives don't. It's calling attention to the fact that society clearly thinks black lives don't f**king matter!!!!!! And they f**king do!!!!!! It means black. lives. f**king. matter. #justiceforgeorgefloyd.

Pro Vaccine

13 Dec 2021

I didn’t die, and I wasn’t gonna die, but that does not take away from how miserable it was. It was terrible. I still have side effects, I was sick for, like, two months almost. I want it to be clear that it is because of the vaccine I’m fine. I think if I weren’t vaccinated, I would have, like, died, because it was bad … When I say it was bad, I more just mean that it felt horrible. But really, in the scheme of Covid, it was not bad. You know what I mean? When you’re sick, you feel fucking horrible.
