If we didn’t have that, we wouldn’t even be here. We wouldn’t even be together.

With less than 75 days to go until the election, there’s no time to waste! I’ve teamed up with @levis, @ogetheyogi and some of our dear friends to create a PSA that hopefully educates and motivates the 70 million young eligible voters to make sure they participate in voting in this years election! #VoteAboutIt click the link in my bio to register to vote!!!
In a conversation with Miley Cyrus
I think there’s a difference between being raised in church and then being an adult and having your own relationship with God. I feel like I’ve found my footing with spirituality and faith and church. I’ve found a church community that works for me where I feel supported and loved and accepted.
In an interview on the program Now with Natalie on the Hillsong online TV channel
I’m here to represent Jesus through me, for other people, for his will to be done. I think the second that we think that were too, like, high and mighty we’re always reminded that it’s not about us, nothing is about me or you or really anybody - it’s about us being a vessel for Jesus to be seen.
In an interview with The Sunday Times
I love my father, he’s an amazing dad, but we so strongly disagreed on [the election]. He and my sister strongly disagreed on it. My sister’s husband, like everyone on our side, just doesn’t agree with him. We don’t talk about it now. It’s not worth the argument. [...] Of course [I voted for Hillary]. Everything that’s happening in the world is so crazy, but if any positivity is coming out of it, it’s teaching young people to stand up and be vocal. We’re the next generation who have the access and power and we have a lot of drive. I’ve been trying to find ways to get more involved with people my age and make changes for things that matter. That’s what I’m passionate about.
In an interview with ELLE, talking about her father's support of Donald Trump
I’ve differed with my dad on pretty much everything in politics, especially lately, but I’m 100% my own person…It is what is it. They’re my family at the end of the day. I love them to death, but it’s never going to permanently change anything for me. I’ve always had my own thoughts on politics. […] I don’t know if I would necessarily label myself as one thing. I know what’s right. I know when I see our nation being destroyed because of poor decisions [made] on other people’s part. We’re in a horrible time in our country and it’s sad, but I think the one positive that’s come out of it is people coming together across the world, standing united – that’s awesome. You have to try your best to see the positive in all the dark stuff that’s going on. That’s what I try to do.
