Sarah Silverman was born and raised in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Being Jewish is a staple in Silverman's comedy "schtick." And her ancestry is Eastern European Jewish on all sides.<a class="source-citation" href="#http%3A%2F%2Fwww.imdb.com%2Fname%2Fnm0798971%2Fbio" title="Sarah Silverman – Biography">[1]</a> She'll crack jokes like:

## Sex and politics… the real version, also known as prostitution

Silverman's strengths are crude humor, conviction, and an approachable, girl-next-door sort of sexuality. She uses her strengths to advance her political causes quite well.

First of all, she's a liberal–a gay marriage-supporting,<a class="source-citation" href="#http%3A%2F%2Fwww.advocate.com%2Fcomedy%2F2012%2F04%2F23%2Fsarah-silverman-wants-marriage-equality-and-big-apology" title="Sarah Silverman Wants Marriage Equality and a Big Apology.">[8]</a> vegetarian,<a class="source-citation" href="#http%3A%2F%2Fwww.imdb.com%2Fname%2Fnm0798971%2Fbio" title="Sarah Silverman – Biography">[9]</a> environmentalist,<a class="source-citation" href="#http%3A%2F%2Fwww.onearth.org%2Fblog%2Fsarah-silverman-injects-some-funny-into-global-warming-debate" title="Sarah Silverman Injects Some Funny Into Global Warming Debate">[10]</a> animal rights activist<a class="source-citation" href="#http%3A%2F%2Fwww.peta.org%2Fb%2Fthepetafiles%2Farchive%2Ftags%2FSarah%2BSilverman%2Fdefault.aspx" title="The PETA Files">[11]</a> liberal.

But she really came into her own during Obama's 2012 reelection campaign. First of all, she made a series of hilarious videos in support of Obama and the Democrats and against Romney and the Republicans. At one point during the campaign, were the most popular political videos in the country.<a class="source-citation" href="#http%3A%2F%2Fblogs.wsj.com%2Fwashwire%2F2012%2F09%2F24%2Fsarah-silverman-video-tops-political-charts%2F" title="Sarah Silverman Video Tops Political Charts">[12]</a>

Second of all, her social media outlets were lit-up with political humor/discourse during election season. Check out this one to Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum:

I think that she was banking on the hope that he wouldn't go for it, but still, that's commitment folks! The likes of which I can't say that I've seen after writing hundreds of Hollowverse articles.
