Shia LaBeouf was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. LaBeouf is sort of like a dual citizen in the religion department. He has options. He once said:

However, LaBeouf has expressed interest in playing a young Karl Rove in a film called College Republicans.<a class="source-citation" href="#http%3A%2F%2Fwww.firstshowing.net%2F2010%2Fshia-labeouf-joining-college-republicans-as-young-karl-rove%2F" title="Shia LaBeouf Joining &apos;College Republicans&apos; as Young Karl Rove?">[7]</a> It could be an artistic challenge for him or maybe he admires George W. Bush's former Deputy Chief of Staff. Hard to say. LaBeouf's background might suggest that he at least grew up a liberal. He said:
