The real truth is those people are idiots. Every time there’s been social advancement as we wake up, the American story, the human story is one of constant social awakening and growth and that’s what makes us good.

I mean, it’s great. As great as it is — and you know, I’ve been asked the question a few times — it’s nice, and it’s wonderful, it makes me happy. It’s tough to not be a little frustrated that it even has to be a topic of discussion. That it is this kind of “news.” The goal is that we can get to a point where it is the norm, and that this doesn’t have to be some uncharted waters, that eventually this is just the way it is. That representation across the board is how we make films. Look, it’s an honor to be a part of something that is taking those steps, but the goal is to look back on this time and just be shocked that it took us this long to get there.

many, if not all, of these artists had to hide their sexuality for majority of their career. you seem to only respect gay artists when the gay part is tucked away. you don’t like me because i embrace my sexuality instead of hiding it and never speaking on it for your comfort.

YES!!! Fingers crossed and praying that the Senate will see trans and lgbtq rights as basic human rights.

Some of us have been fortunate to spend some precious time with loved ones but for some in the LGBTQ community the impact has been much more profound. That might be the case for young people who are getting to grips with their sexuality and making life-changing decisions about when and how to come out. A lot of my LGBTQ friends have talked to me about what a vulnerable time this was for them and how they relied on the support of their friends to get them through which was particularly important if they didn’t feel like they had the support at home.

That cheeky smile is because I had the pleasure of voting early! Did you? It will surprise exactly nobody to learn that I support #bidenharris because I want a world where healthcare is a right not a privilege, women have bodily autonomy, systemic racism doesn’t run rampant throughout our police forces, our trans siblings can walk into any bathroom, global warming isn’t treated as a myth… the list goes on. This administration has told a lot of lies, but if you’ve ever heard your vote doesn’t matter then that’s the biggest lie there is. So make your voting plan, talk to your friends and family about theirs and vote like it’s as fun as eating Takis in bed or a night in Vegas- because there’s nothing sweeter than taking back your liberty, baby.

I actually support LGBT. I would never – and I could have been more careful – I would never purposefully misgender someone as a way to antagonize or troll. I wouldn’t do that, the same with sexuality. That’s not okay, you shouldn’t do it either, I wouldn’t do it.

My moms a lesbian. I think I turned out ok. And the activities she chooses is to help the homeless and people suffering from mental illness. I admit I’m not perfect but atleast I was never a judgmental hypocrite! Im sure you dont speak for most Catholics.Have a nice day

I went to 8 years of Catholic grade school. The behavior of the priests & nuns turned me away from organized religion for life. I was 12 years old. As an adult, reading the below, I’m very proud of the choice I made when I was a child.

My faith is important to me, but no church defines me or my life, and I am not a spokesperson for any church or any group of people. My values define who I am. We need less hate in this world, not more. I am a man who believes that everyone is entitled to love who they want free from the judgment of their fellow man.

It has recently been suggested that I belong to a church which ‘hates a certain group of people’ and is ‘infamously anti-LGBTQ.’ Nothing could be further from the truth, I go to a church that opens their doors to absolutely everyone. Despite what the Bible says about divorce, my church community was there for me every stop of the way, never judging, just gracefully accompanying me on my walk. They helped me tremendously offering love and support. It is what I have seen them do for others on countless occasions regardless of sexual orientation, race or gender.

In the past I’ve been reluctant to publicly voice my political opinions. I feel very differently about that now. I always have and always will cast my vote based on which candidate will protect and fight for the human rights I believe we all deserve in this country. I believe in the fight for LGBTQ rights, and that any form of discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender is WRONG.

Wow this is so incredibly amazing. And I wrote this speech and and it’s asically I feel like our society has always put such an emphasis on what’s normal and to be different is unusual or seen as strange. But to be accepted I’m unconditionally and to be able to express yourself as an individual through art is such a blessing events like this, the one we are you attending here tonight. Show the world that we are not alone, we can all joins hands together here and know that we are all beautiful and we can live and we can lift each other up and show our gifts without hesitation. Being a mother has shown me what it means to love unconditionally and you are all in this room have showed me throughout my career what it means to be loved. Unconditionally, it’s such an honor to be here and thank you so much glad and thank you to the LGBTQ community and my family and all of my friends and fans I love you very much thank you.

The honest-to-God truth is that none of that matters to me: I have no issue with someone’s sexuality, religion, race, none of that.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with many gifted trans women over the years. But I don’t go around doing trans castings! […] I don’t think it’s fair that a trans woman, or man, be used as a convenient marketing tool.

Things are getting dire. To paraphrase Charles Dickens, ‘This year has sucked.’ Our democracy and humanity have been under attack. But unless you are an unenlightened straight cisgender white male, you are a target. That makes us all a target. Right now there is a very bad and very orange man in our White House—at least a few days a month. The person we shall not name came this close to signing an executive order that legally allows for discrimination against the LGBT community… If that makes you as angry as it makes me, then raise your voice. Call the White House, call your Representative, call your Senators… We are fighting for the soul of our country. But don’t get discouraged.

To the LGBTQ community, I'm sorry for the message that was sent today. They don't speak for all of us. We love you.

This is disgusting. This is unacceptable. I #StandWithGavin and every Trans person who deserve nothing less than protection and equality.

No. I’m not a monster! I think it’s fantastic. It’s been legal in Canada for ten years now. To me [the opposition] just seems crazy. I find it amusing how polarizing it can be here. Ted Cruz is saying it’s judicial tyranny. To me it seems very humane. Like a given. We shouldn’t be in a state of awe and celebration for it, we should be taking it for granted, like regular marriage.

Make some noise if you think the Supreme Court justices who voted against gay marriage should get their heads out of their f*****g asses and join the goddamn celebration. Make some noise if you’ve got one less problem without them m***********s.

I’m in show business and I’m an ex-dancer. I have an enormous number of gay friends. Marginalizing people for that? These people who are ignorant enough to think that being gay is a “chosen lifestyle?” That’s the height of ignorance. It’s like saying being black is a chosen lifestyle. Get out of here!
